Question, why do you need to do it from the engine bay where the starter is... Why not do it from the steering column. Just hook up the wires from the steering column ign. is.. That way is much easier.

Why is not good for the 5-spd guys? I need to know cause im 5-spd sc300 and probably gonna buy the smartkeys kit unless i find out otherwise.

i would think its just because the car might be in gear? i don't see any other reason that it would be bad for 5spd

Definitely liking the advanced key setup. Good job on the writeup. Seein as the car is down I may look more into this mod.
