Waiting on some more suspension parts, so I decided to put together a freshened door panel with a new armrest, map pocket, and speaker grill.
Color is a bit saturated, but you get the idea. The armrest is a bit more tan than the original, but in normal light it's very difficult to tell.

Thank you!
Yeah, I sold it a few weeks ago and put part of the proceeds towards this car. The armrest was actually done by a local upholstery shop using material that matches the new leather on the seats. They did a great job and managed to get the stitching perfect. Overall I'm very pleased with how the door panel turned out.

I'd prefer the OEM leather for sure, but the leatherseats.com kit I would say is very good as far as quality and fitment go. My only complaint would be the slight color mismatch. I did have to add some foam to the seats to get the covers to fit just right, as the factory foam had collapsed a bit and made the new covers fit a bit loose.
Thanks!

no flak for the investment, you will have a nice new SC, with no car note for many years when you finish!
rock on!

Thanks! It's been a long, slow, and somewhat painful project, but I can't wait to have what will be essentially a new SC400. More updates to come in the next few months.
