Unhappy SC400 SQUEAKING noise and I cant figure it out! VIDEO INSIDE please help

Its a 1992 sc400 stock.

It has 160,000 miles. I have not had a problem with it till this past weekend, I started her up and there was a pretty noticeable squeaking coming from the front end.

- Checked for the powersteering pump/pulley by turning the wheel left and right but NO increase in squeaking sounds so I decided that wasent the problem

- Checked the AC compressor, and which I hit the ac switch to activate the ac compressor clutch but NO difference in noise.

- Reved the engine up and down and the noise did increase.

I hope its just the belt but I doubt it. I used a automotive stethoscope from Craftsman but can really pinpoint it.

Heres a video of it!

i would say thats the belt. they get old and squeal sometimes...why not pick up a thing of "belt dressing" from autozone or another auto parts store. try that, spray it down and see if the squeal goes away. let us know!

alright man. sorry the conditioner didn't work, sometimes the belt can be bad enough to make that happen. good luck changing it.

Okays guys I have an update, From what I figured out it was the idler pulley, the small ball bearing pulley ( the one highest from the ground). The bearings were going out so thats what was making the noise, cost me 70 bucks at oreillys.

Oh man, you could have just replaced the bearing in the pulley for like $10 bucks or less. Its simple to press out the old one. And press in the new one. I just did mine with a socket and a c clamp.
