it's nothing bad. My 15 yr old sc and 4 yr old tC both make the creak. I just think of it as something that tells other people that i have 3 pedals.

well if it helps i can tell you what it isnt.
I had the noise with the original clutch, then after going na-t i installed an act 6 puck clutch and pressure plate kit, resurfaced flywheel with brand new throwout bearing and rear main seal.
The noise did not change one bit. nor did any of this affect the whirring noise my w58 also has, but that is definitely an internal transmission problem.

Its just so inconsistent its hard to tell. fork.. bearings.. not bad guesses but theres not much confirmed.

does it sound like, squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak

yes thats what it is.

I adjusted the pedal to let off more on the high side rather than so close to the floor and it went away.

I like the clutch engaging lower to the floor, mine is already high enough!
there has to be a real fix for this, what causes the problem?

It's hard to diagnose these kinds of problems over the internet.

If the squeek is constant and sounds like its rotating with the motor its probably the release bearing.

If you get a squeek only when you press the clutch pedal down, and when it comes back up, its probably the master ir slave cylinder seal rubbing against the housing..you can't fix that unless you replace the master or slave which are probably perfectly fine to begin with.

Is there a measurement in the service manual about where it is supposed to start to engage from the floor? That way I can check mine maybe it's off
