Seat adjustment memory buttons not working
I've been meaning to ask this question for a long time now, and I finally remembered to start a thread about it. Anyway, on my 94 SC300 on the driver's door panel there are 3 buttons for adjusting the seats. There is a 1, 2, and set button. I push these buttons and they don't do anything. First of all, what do these buttons even do exactly lol? Is there some kind of combination to push these buttons to make the seats move or whatever? If not, how could I fix this to make it work?

I found that it only works when its in park. Hold the set button and press either number to set. Hope that helps.

Yeah I could try that, but if that doesn't work I guess I'll check the fuse for it or something. Thanks.

Isn't this a SC400 thing only? I think if you were take take your door panel off there'd be nothing plugged into the back of that memory switch.
I've taken the doorpanel off 3 Sc300s that haven't had that plugged in.

I concur with RyanV, the cord is really short for that connector. So when you put your door panel on, that's the last thing you do and it's easy to forget. My car had the same issue when I bought it, just had to reattach it.

But the last time I checked the wiring looked hooked up. I guess I'll look again and see if it is or not.

Car must be in park and the e-brake must be up as well. That is the only way this will work. I have it in my SC300. Press the set button along with 1 or 2 to set that button for where the seat is currently positioned. If the seat ever moves just put it in park, put the e-brake up and press either 1 or 2 and the seat will go into that position. Took me awhile to figure this out too.

Yeah turns out that did work for me. I pushed the set button with the number 1 button and it made a beeping noise and set my current seat position. Only problem is I tried it with the number 2 button and it beeps just like the number 1 button but it does not move the seat when you move it out of its set position. Any ideas?

Hmmm....not sure about the number 2 button not working. I never really use number two so I don't really worry about it. At least number one works!!! Haha....

What works for me
Rooticon,
After you have set Button #1, with the key turned to on, parking brake on, trans in Park, use the lever on the side of the seat to move it all the way to the rear, then set button #2. This allows you to exit and enter easily and hit #1 to go driver's position. Its helpful in tight spaces due to the extra long doors on our cars.
