92 SC400

When you guys are cruising at 80mph what RPM are you at? I've honestly never really paid much attention until today and noticed that I'm right around 3k RPMS, which "seems" high to me, but then again when I don't drive the SC I'm in 6 speed cars.

in my 5spd im at a little over 3k so it sounds normal...

yah, since the most of the early sc's were just 3 speed with od, i guess they dont really have a highway gear.

I used to wonder why my (rpm) was so high. but then i found out that my cluster was actually from a sc400. so my rpm would read 5-6 but would actually be at 3-4

Well at least the torque will be there when passing, but yeah, it is a bit high, but normal for all SCs.

When I had the 5 speed 97' it would be at like 3500 at 80. Pretty high.

with the 427's I was at 3800 now with the 377's I am right at 3000

its normal my sc does about the same on the highway. be glad its just that my honda on the highway im cruising at 4-4300rpm ha

haha That high for 80 MPH? Damn... The only Honda I've driven (that I really remember) was my mom's old TL Type-S and that thing did 80 at like 2250 RPMs or so.
