it's sad how a lexus sports car have to go thru this. The OE interior is ugly. I hate the steering wheel the most and then the 2 tone leater color of beige and brown is simply ugly while the ceiling is also a different color. Beautifuly design out side but inside is ugly. I have brand new leather seats cost me 450$ high grain leather plus 300$ intallation fee. Still I find that car not sporty enough. I got a design on my mind when i finish u guys will see. So far I haven't seen a nice one.

Sorry you dont like it.. Lets see what you have in mind... I guess we will have to wait... I think it will look better once the black seats are in, and the seat belts changed out also.

well, everything has to have it's good and bad criticism. i dont think it looks that bad, you don't see a grey/black combo too often. me personally, i think it would look 100x better if you used better paint. i think that shiny krylon finish looks kinda cheap IMO. I like what you've done, just wish you used better paint with a flatter finish. doesn't look terrilble though. and i bet your car smells like a bucket of paint now lol.

Krippled, you have already stated your opinion.. I think we get it. Its ok you dont like it, but I do... I used the high gloss beacuse I normally put Armor protectant on everything inside anyway. I was saving me some time on the clean up.. :-)

OLT, I was just picture taking happy that day! :-)

Wikkrik, I am glad that you liked it.. Thanks for the compliments.

I'll say redo the handle portion of the door panel and get yourself a black swade leater.
3m glue and its not that hard to wrap the door panels. I will go Beige and Black on mine.
I don't like the brownish leather of the dash board, which is same color as the window trimming. The steering is worst, it just plain suck. I think I need a good 1400$ budget to get the interior I like. Too many things to change to make this car look good inside.
Lastly, that freakin automatic shifter is as ugly as the steering wheel. I still can get over Lexus designing this interior!

I thought about it. I was going to use the satin finish paint, if attempted. I was afraid to, but after how silky smooth the steering wheel, door arm rest and the center console came out, I thought about it even more. I might try it in the near future. If I do, I will keep everyone posted.
If the car show wasnt this weekend, I would have already done it. Lastly, if it doenst turn out, it gives me another reason to recover them even sooner!

Default Back seats

I found some SEM paint locally finally. I painted the rear seats today for a trial run. I sanded them down with 400 grit, then 1000 grit to finish off the smoothness. I also used the SEM prep spray as well. Coming next week will be the front seats. Heres a few pictures along the way.

Will post another picture with them in on a bright sunny day, its too cloudy now! Be patient!

Default Heres it is! With Everything done.

After several dislikes from a couple of people, I decided to redo it all with a less shiny paint. So thats exactly what I did, I redid everything, yet again. I hope everyone likes the finished outcome.. I am NOT redoing it again, well maybe. I also finished the seats and the side trim pieces. It may not seem that they are not much different from the previous pictures, but they are.

After several attempts to upload, they are simply too big. Heres the link.
