Sorry for the delay on the pictures.. I have been busy. I decided to go ahead redo the rear speakers with 6x9's and also the front doors to 5 1/4"s, while I had everything out. I have those speakers for sale in the classifieds, if anyone is interested. I am overall happy with the interior, but I wanted some opinions so far. I am thinking of completely black seats, or should I two tone them? Secondly, what about leaving the door switches grey, or get some black ones? Comments and opinions are always welcome!

I dyed the floor mats and the carpet, while I had it out. Lastly, I redyed the steering wheel. It turned out sweet, and shiny! Keep in mind, all the black you see, is the actual color, no armor all.

Aint it a small world... We both have good taste in cars. I like driving the SC, but the BMW has more instant torque and definetaly handles better, even after all new bushings, and just about everything under it replaced.

Your right.. When I first bought the 330i, I wanted to do a twins crew supercharger. So I contacted Active Auotwerks and it was going to be around 10K with the tranny upgrade also. This was me doing all the work. So i settled for the AFE cold air intake, Turner Motorsports pullies, Borla catback exhaust, and the Shark Injector tuner. After all these goodies were installed, I was more happy with the shark than any other bolt on part. It was night and day difference, best 400 bucks for the car, IMO!

I used, believe it or not, Krylon Fusion on the vinyl and the leather parts. I used about 4 coats on everything. Maybe around 6 cans to cover everything. The most important part is letting it dry between coats. I also sanded with 220 grit sandpaper until silky smooth with a little roughness. This helped the paint cure to the plastic more. The leather steering wheel, arm rest, and the center console, turned out simply sweet. They are really smooth. Believe it or not!

For the carpet and the mats, I used the Duplicolor High Glass Paint. I used about 5 cans of paint for the complete change of color. After I let the carpet and the mats dry, I bent the carpet where the carpet would noramally bend and painted again. This was to assure I didnt have any grey come through. For the Lexus emblems, that you cant see in the pictures, I hand painted the logo's back into the carpet with high gloss touch up paint from my BMW. It turned good too. It took about 4 coats of the paint for the white to really stand out more than the silver.

Alot of people frowned on the idea of using this kind of paint, but I believe after it fully cures, it will be fabulous. If there are any areas that need to be touched up in the future, thats what the black Sharpie is for!

You can use the SEM interior paint, but its so expensive, and I believe paint is better now, than ever before. IMO.. Good luck with your progress and if you run into a problem let us know. Good Luck!

If your leather has any crack, nudges or dents, you need to fill it first, with leather/vinyl filler, and allow to dry, before painting it. This goes for the vinyl on the doors. If you have anything broken tabs or broken door panels, fix it NOW!

Heres another link for mo better pictures. It was cloudy today and in between the heavy rain that we have ben getting. But you get the idea.
