Question 95 sc400 color

Hello all,

did a search and reviewed all color codes, including those posted at toyota's own website. From what I can tell, the only red offered on the '95 SC400 was Renaissance Red. I'm looking on autotrader all over the U.S. for the nicest SC400 I can find, and in Pennsylvania a dealer has a '95 with pix posted that sure looks like Renaissance red, but when I asked him to verify, he says there is no tag inside the driver side door, and that he is told the car is "Sunfire Red Pearl Metallic" which I believe is not even a Lexus color, at least for that year and model. Can anyone verify that Sunfire is not an SC400 color? I liked what I saw on the pix, but I'm not flying to PA to check out something that doesn't make sense.

Sunfire Red Pearl Metallic is a Toyota tundra color. From like 97 98

If there is no sticker in the door...it was repaint. Ask the honest salesman if he can get you a picture of the engine bay with the hood open..Bet those VIN stickers on the fenders are gone too.

The nicest SC400 you can find is not going to come from PA. You need to be looking south of the salt belt.

As for the color - it's a used car dealer - he just pulled some color he knows out of his ***. No real relevance.

Your right...Whatever the big truck Toyota had back then.

And it doesn't matter what state you buy your car in. As long as the previous owner took care of it. Both my 97's were mint. Both were bought in Northbrook IL, one went to Atlanta and the other stayed here. Both were super clean.
