I used a dual stage Camry cover, which is probably why I had to modify it

Most newer cars have emblems on the airbag cover and the covers are perforated so when they blow the panel with the emblem attached swings out of the way to let the airbag through.
BTW, how did you put the Lexus emblem where the Toyota one used to be? Wasn't there an imprint of the Toyota emblem on the airbag cover?
|
I used the sanding bit from a dremel to smooth out the imprint until it was smooth. Then I got a plastic oval that I cut out and sprayed to fit in there, then put the emblem on top.
Ryeno and I were 'cool' up until this thread when he started wishing death upon me and calling me an idiot for my personal decisions. He was so adamant about proving me wrong, as he is with everyone else on the forums. Peddling opinion as fact seriously pisses me off.

First he told me that my logo will kill me.
Then he says airbags will kill me.
I tell him they save lives, he comes at me with a list of BENEFITS of airbags.
WTF?????
No he's out of high school, but I think that is the extent of his education.

So did you have to use an adaptor harness for the airbag or was it plug and play?

Plug and play.. this is a '99 SC400. It normally comes with a 3 spoke airbag. I literally used the same airbag, just custom fitted a cover on it and a new wheel.
