Default My precious SC400 Totaled! What Should I Buy Now?

Well, I was driving on I-78 following 2 of my other fellow Lexus SC owners and there was a large puddle of water in the 2 right lanes (busted pipe underground?) as I tried to get in the left lane an SUV would not allow me to get over so I turned right back into the water (center lane), and somehow I hydroplaned directly into the wall, went into a 360 twice and out came the airbags upon impact! My beloved SC is dead and gone after just 1 year.

Should I get an SC400 or SC300 now? I'm just lucky to be alive...Thank GOD!

Def look for a 5speed...if you can find a good deal on one with the basic mods, or start fresh with a good base model from some ol folks who maintained it nicely...just be patience unless you have the $$

Thanks guys!

Paco, I may have to look into that please PM me or give me more info.

I did some searching prior to posting here and found a 1999 SC400 with 129,000 miles. Thats pretty high for a 99, but it supposed to be grey with black interior, I'm going to check it out today. I also found a Red 1996 SC400 with Vertex body kit installed, only 111,000 miles. It looks to be in perfect condition.

My entire left arm is brusied and my finger is jammed...thanks to Lexus safety I was able to walk away from this accident. I'm going to post a pick of my wrecked 93. It feels like a bad dream or something....when it hydroplaned, maybe I should have turned the wheel in the same direction towards the right, but I tried to straighten out the car; but then my SC's nose would have been facing incoming traffic, and I'd have to throw it in reverse...I didn't even think of pulling the emergency brake...everything happened so fast...I'm gonna miss that car.

Thats sucks... I almost hydroplaned in a storm a couple of weeks ago and all I could think about in those brief seconds was the safety of m car. Scary stuff, hope the search goes well for you.

Glad you are alright. I would look into finding another SC in the right price range, but if you decided to stear away from the SC's, maybe a used E46 M3? Those are so bad @ss. Post some pictures of your loss, and I hope everything works out with your insurance and your search. Keep us posted.
