Default max towing capacity

I was wondering if it was possible with a full trailer to tow a NSX(3000lbs+trailer) with a SC300 5spd safely. This may seem like a stupid question but im military and may have to move at any time and dont want to have someone else do it. Or do I need to get a truck for this duty I think having three veichles is a bit excessive but ill will probaly end up getting a third. I was also planning on moving so stuff from my home of record which wouldn't be more than a thousand pounds. I've read that 2k towing cap and also 1.6k towing cap for this car?

why would you even consider trailering another car with a SC300. the trailer + the other car will weight more then your car and that is bad.

get a big diesel truck and 2 car trailer and you can trailer both cars in the incident you need to move.

My neighbors lost their life when they decided to try and carry sod that was a heavier capacity than their jeep. they had to brake and the trailer started to push the jeep and it pushed it straight into a nearby tree.

says 2k for the towing capacity. I used to flat tow my ae86 around with my old sc300 5 speed and it was fine. I wouldnt try to put a trailer on it though.

Be safe, rent a truck. It's cheaper too in the long run.

bottom line is that an sc300 is not meant to be used as a tow vehicle, I would recommend renting a truck or buying one.

I've towed a variety of things in the past few years, and many things come into play such as weight of tow vehicle, weight of item your towing, power, braking, steering, overheating.....

I think I've seen a guy towing a small jet ski with his SC, but anything bigger than that, I wouldn't recommend.

This doesnt seem like a good idea to me. I would rent a truck or borrow one from a family member...

I doubt insurance would cover you if something happened while your SC was towing WAY more than it's supposed to. Rent a truck, it's safer.
