I really had my heart set on buying a Toyota Echo Roxy Edition, but it was out of my price range so I had to settle for my SC

I've been saving for a new car, had my SC400 for 6 years.

Got over 20 grand together and I went and looked at the VW Phaeton W12. It's badass car, but has SO much computer controlled BS on it, I was scared off by impending maintence costs. It's a freakin' VW/Audi, very similar car to the A8, so you know it's going to cost a fortune to maintain once it gets up there in miles.

That said...I racked my brain and I couldn't come up with another car that I would feel good about spending all my hard earned money on...So I'm keeping the SC.

I'm treating it to a new pearl white paint job, complete black leather interior out of a 99, a bone stock 1uz motor / a340 trans with 27K miles on it, Stance coilovers and 19" Privat Netz rims (color matched w/ the car). Paint job excluded, I got all the rest for a hair over 3 grand.

I'm doing all the work here myself at my dad's autobody shop so labor and paint is free. Fluids aside, the car should be good to go for another 10 years and 200K miles.

It's got class and tell you what.... It beats having a car payment.

So yeah... I love my SC. It's got 200K on it now and I'm shooting for 500K.

Love Mine!! The only other car I drive that I like is my IS300. All other cars bore my when I drive them. Nothing in the same price range and alot in higher price ranges can compare with the SC. Lexus built these cars to withstand the test of time and I would say they did a very good job!!

I love my SC's because of all the stated above. You don't get the respect, or the power, or the beauty of other stock cars unless you want to spend three to six times as much for them. The car is amazing. Beauty with a sleeper engine that can be maxed out easier than some other engines. More rare than other cars, with a still modern look for an amazing price. Luxury included, ha hah. That's why I love mine.

Exactly LOL. I like it the way it is when it's bone stock. But after doing the suspension with a set of new wheels. I love it more. If I had to get another car I wouldn't trade it in.

I like it but will probably sell it and get an NB Miata as soon as it's financially feasible.
