I'm pretty happy with it so far, only thing I'm not huge on is the tan interior but I can live with that. I'm coming from the Subaru world so it definitely feels slow however I will be remedying that soon enough I hope. First up is some paint repair, new audio system as the stock one doesn't work, and new seals around the doors and probably the sunroof. Headlights will need some love also.
End goal is a 2jz-gte and upgraded turbo swap along with other small stuff along the way.
A crappy phone picture of it but its the best I have at the moment, the white wheels are a temporary solution as the car only came with winter tires on steelies.

So your the guy who took this car from me eh? You're not welcome here..
Nah just kidding. I had contacted SadPanda that I was really interested in it, but he said someone was coming down from Kelowna to look at it. I never heard back from him so I guess he sold it to you.
I believe there's also a blk/blk '97 2JZ-GTE for sale in Kelowna as well..?
To be honest when he emailed me some pics of it I was kinda suprised at how rough shape it looked in. So I hope he gave you a good deal cuz its definately going to require some work to make it look good again.
I believe this is the same SC that was for sale somewhere in Cali a number of years back, with rear and quarter panal damage. It didnt look too bad though. I was thinking about buying it back then but it somehow ended up here in Vancouver anyways.
If you search 'sc300' in RevScene you'll find that the car has been sold and re-sold here in Vancouver a few times, seems like each time it finds a new owner it ends up in worse shape than before. But hopefully its found a good home with you! Good luck with it, would be sweet to see that GTE in it!

I just picked up a rarest of the rare Classic Green Pearl (6P2) 1997 SC300 with the factory W58 from the insurance auctions. Needs work, and it will be a rebuilt title, but i always wanted one and now its mine. Will be NA-T by summer.

Nice! The interior looks unusually well taken care of too.

-1 from the 120 group
i came across this in a yard near me.
the car was in great condition (you can see the drivers seat) all it was missing was its engine and transmission.
i took the taillights, rear bumper, side skirts, super rare speedometer cluster and what was left of the shift boot and heated controls. A lot of the stuff i didn't even need but it was to nice to just leave.
i went back a 2nd time and got the front grill and fog lights even a BFI was in the car, yea it was still just as untouched as before, i actually left the rear wing and front bumper.
when i went back about 3 weeks later it looked like this.

Someone buy that shell and have it shipped to florida, ill transplant all of my 93 into it until i find the 97 parts it needs and bam, back at 120, Dropping the number down only makes it that much harder for me to eventually get one

i've come across 3 5 speed manuals in this yard in the last year.
in fact i raised one up to take the exhaust off becuase it was just that clean and was thinking that someone could get the 5 speed out even easier.
i didnt know this one was that rare until i went back the second time.
