Default Where to get good vinyl to recover interior

I have a 97 sc with black interior and I would like to possibly recover the door panels. I have never done it before but have good experience with fiberglass and want to make some custom speaker pods on the carpetted area of the door. Where do you I recommend the vinyl for this as I do not want it to look cheap and be good quality. Also what is under the vinyl layers of the door that makes them feel slightly padded. And does anyone have any general tips besides that?

Go to an auto upholstery shop and they should be able to match up the color (lots of different shades of black) and texture. Won't be cheap though.
