Tavarish's SC300 Teaser...
Hey guys,
I haven't posted pics of my car in around 2 years, and I'm doing a complete 100% modification of what I originally bought. For those who remember, I bought my SC for $400 around 2 years ago. I'm going to focus on the interior, as the exterior badly needs bodywork and paint.
here is what it looked like:
teardown:
Old setup: (didn't last long)
Now, present:

Excuse the cell phone pic quality. Some of the wrap is a little rough, still need to go over it with an exacto knife and some more glue.
Here's what I did:
Corbeau A4 seats (custom sliders made from a Civic rails)
Dyed stock carpet
Painted dash beige and black
fiberglass and bondo center console
CF vinyl wrapped the center console
Ebay Bride shift boot ($5)
Relocated AC control to the cupholder (large **** from a stereo)
Relocated Hazard button to ashtray
LED cluster (1st and last needles are burnt out)
Painted the backseats black
MDF rear deck, wrapped in suede
Suede headliner
Made fiberglass gauge pod from the center vent (they were broken anyway)
Fatty PS2 in glove box (was a *****, there is NO room in there)
Dojo Ginosho CF Shift ****
Ebay CF ebrake handle (cost me a dollar, but a LOT of modding was needed)
Lexus IS350 Floor Mats (freebie from here)
350Z rear view mirror with autodimming and homelink (hardwired)
Entire car is dynamatted
Suede wrapped door panels
Visonik 10" sub in stock location
Pioneer AVIC D2 with custom Lexus backgrounds
Fire extinguisher on the A pillar (you never know)
...I think that's about it. It's not at all finished, but it's coming along, just in time for the summer. Let me know what you think. I'll be unveiling the car sometime in the coming month.
Thanks,
-Freddy

Yup, need to get an r154.
It's not about being cool, it's about being accessible in case I need it. I'm not really keen on how it looks, but I've had too many people I know have fires in these cars. Always helps to have some extra insurance.
Anyway, it's there temporarily until I can mount it on my roll cage, chassis brace, or harness bar.

They have great writeups on how to do it, and great information in general about the avic series. Also have downloads for the Navi discs.
