I didn't read the whole thread, so I hope I didn't miss the answer to this question:

How did you mount the climate face in the console? Did you remove the face plate as a whole from the climate module? I'm thinking about making one of these for myself to mount a custom GPS system, but don't want a big gap between the screen of the climate control and the console itself.

Thanks.

i have until late may to early june. i'll look into moptoppros.com. also as far as the shocks, which one would you have gotten and where would you have installed the actual system?

also to the other guy, the faceplate was removed from the climate control and cannot be used separately (if i read that right).

It does actually. Thanks a bunch.

Not trying to ask too much here, but would you happen to have pics of how you mounted the CC module in the tunnel and maybe pictures of the build process of the console?

I hadn't considered molding the CC face into the console. Pretty nifty/simple idea.

The unit was never installed in my SC, so I didn't mount anything in the tunnel.
It's just like mounting any custom audio stuff though- metal brackets, screws, etc.
Hope that helps.
I decided not to be a lazy *** and just read the through the whole thread. Thanks for the info

Well, despite I don't own this anymore I decided to help the new owner out. I went ahead and mounted the climate control. Had to cut away a section of the control to clear the monitor cables. Also customized the cable to clear, Its tight, but it fits. Then I mounted the CC units box on the back of the monitor to the monitors mounting slot. I had to modify the CC box as well, last I cut and lengthened the wires on the CC to reach. Here is how that looks.
