Question Skid Plate???

my skid plate was breaking sooo we just took it off...are these things important? should I replace it?? cuz that one is stripped and you cant put any new bolts in it

I replaced mine, i could actually feel aero. drag difference, and more wind noise.

I don't have one but I wanted to make one out of sheet metal in school. I just need to find one and use it as a template.

the one i had was plastic...im guessing it was the OEM part

its 143 bucks, so only replace it if it really bothers you.

hmmm...is it really that important??
for the price that culd be tint money or going towards my tranny flush haha

It protects your engine bay from dust, debris, and water splashing. In a way, yes its important, in another, you can do without it. It just annoyed me not to have it.

yeah that is important....i wonder if i can get one from a junkyard....cuz im not payin 150 for that plastic tray

i have not had one for 2 years. You will be fine without it. What everyone said earlier about it protecting from water/debris is basically its main purpose.

You'll be fine without it. But like others have mentioned, it will bring more dust and debris into the bay. If I can get a hold of another one in good condition I'd throw it on.
