i was mostly in 2nd the whole time..towards the end of the track you pretty much have to make a Uturn so what i would do was slide towards the cone while left foot breaking slowing the car down, keep the power up by down shifting to 1st, going around the cone and once i max out 1st throw it back into 2nd...i know, my tranny hates me.
whats up dude?
really? did the SC400 ever come with LSD? if they did how can i find out if mine has it for sure? cus when i first got the car, messing around i would do burn outs and little "drifts" and it would leave 2 lines. always thought it was probably a torsen becuase it didnt always lock.
and thank you all for the comments.

Lift your car up on jack stands, make sure your e brake is down. Spin one of your rear wheels, if the other side spins... you have LSD. If the other side doesn't spin.... open diff. Hope this helps

yeah but from what i was told torsen lsd act like open and work when torque is sensed...so when the car is lifted it wont activate and act as an open diff.?

you dont have a torsen diff unless someone before you put one in. torsen diff will act like an open diff with no load on either of the tires.
i have an sc300 at, sc300 mt, and sc400 diff at my house. all of them are open diffs. the reason i have all 3 is for variety of gear ratios when i start tracking my car, hopefully, next season.
i got a welded sc300 at(4.28:1) in my car right now. i have been driving on it for almost 2 years. this will be my 3rd winter on it too. not a problem at all. tire wear is not noticeable either unless you go tracking/drifting or drive really hard.

It always surprises me to see how people get these SC4s sideways like that. Excellent job driving that thing. As for LSD, they dont come stock on SCs. If you launch it you'll spin both wheels. One will spin faster of course. If you do a brake stance on dry asphalt you'll notice which one is doing all the work.
