Bad idea. Why would you want to do that?

Default sc convertible

The whole reason Ive ever wanted to own an SC was because of my old time friends SC400 convertible. Granted it was like almost ten years ago, but the memories stuck with me. He was a drug dealer so money was not an issue had it done in Fla. it was a gorgeous conversion. In the end the car got taken by the Goverment. I'm sure in some impound lot there is a turbocharged topless Sc waiting to be brought back. So yes it has been done, I don't recommend but It did look good. I just bought a 94, for 1000 dollars,

No offense, but you obviously chose the wrong car. I don't know how much a conversion costs, but it can't be cheap. Most cars that are already convertibles from the factory (Mazda Miata, Toyota MR2, etc) have to pay $2000-3000 for an attachable plastic hardtop. Now trying to create a convertible out of a coupe, . Considering all the money you'd waste on such a fruitless venture, you might as well buy an actual convertible. Plus, if your custom job fails in any way, you're probably a good $5,000-10,000 down the tube.

Yes, I've seen some. The white vert SC (previously posted) appears to be the best one so far.
