Best lighting options in 2020
When I had my first sc300 about 8 years ago, THE best option for lighting was to retrofit tsx projectors in the factory headlights. Then to use oem bulbs and ballasts. Now with new options and led headlights running rampant, what is currently the best option?

I think "best" still differs but probably whatever newer Lexus projectors can be fitted into the housings plus whatever replacement lens and other options someone wants to add in (halo, lower DRL LED strip, etc.).
I still feel the easiest aftermarket plug and play that's reliable and for which you can get replacement parts is still the XenonDepot Phillips kit. But that's not the best option, any of which would have to involve taking apart the housing to fully upgrade the projector lens and possibly de-line the OEM outer plastic lenses or outright replace them with new non-lined aftermarket ones.
I still feel the easiest aftermarket plug and play that's reliable and for which you can get replacement parts is still the XenonDepot Phillips kit. I have a feeling Blkexcoupe will pop in and offer some advice... I believe OG Status sells a retrofit kit complete with everything you need.

Easiest way is still changing the fogs out to HID projectors. Headlights are a PITA, but fogs are pretty simple to retrofit. Having a higher line is nice in the headlights, but for simplicity it’s HID fog retrofit all the way. This would be for people wanting HID’s NOW and not waiting to do a huge headlight build.

His kit includes the brackets, spacers, and replacement part to place the projector perfectly into our housings and still use the factory adjusters. It's the most thought out retrofit kit I've ever installed. It was a nice upgrade from my previous TSX projector setup that I installed 10 years prior using a Luxury mods kit.

I think i have morimoto bulbs with oem first generation Lexus rx ballast. In those pictures/ video.
I had originally asked Daniel/OG status about which setup I should run. He recommended a specific setup, but I forgot the brand and model. I never bought it because I hardly drive my SC at night and the setup I have works fine.
I know he sells his own HID products, and he is quite particular about what he stands behind, so I wouldn't hesitate to buy the ones he sells.
