Hi,

I need to remove the inside door panel on my 1998 SC400. My outdoor handle quit working and I also need to replace the mirror. Does anyone have instructions for getting the panel off and replacing the mirror?

pull up the window/door lock controls, unplug the plugs

remove the black plastic piece behind the inner door handle and unscrew the screw

remove the 5 screws that line the door panels edges. three below and two on the side nearest the front of the vehicle.

pop the door panel off of the door and hold it up while you disconnect the door lock and door handle cables.

if it's the driver's door unplug the seat memory plug

unscrew the screws that hold the window trim onto the door, they line the bottom portion of it. then just pop the rest of the surround off.

it's pretty straight forward, i've taken my panels off more times than I can count

I did a few searches but could not find these gems! My passenger door has the problem with the external handle not working and the rod is blocking the window. These were the perfect posts!
