there are two clips on that brown cover, i think to be able to use two thumbs to unclip the cover you'll need to remove the lower trim where the green light sits to clear your other shoulder. it's a tight squeeze in there. i thought it only had one so I'll try again tom when i have more time.

I already replaced almost all my bulbs with LED. They have relays for 16 bux I don't know if it's a better solution or different solution to adding capacitors.
If it's the same solution, then I'd rather solder it myself than pay 16 bux.

although I'd prefer the variable blinking rate.
As for the brake light warning...maybe something can be done on the relay itself rather than increasing the resitance on the line. Correct me on anything, except for grammar I'll be reviewing it soon.

has no one heard of these?

They're made for when you upgrade to LED's. They make the car think there is a 1156 or 1157 bulb. I have them on my tails and no hyper blink. best part is if you wire them in with the harness for the tail and you switch your tails again, you don't have to modify your flasher depending on which tails you put in.
do a little searching. i've seen them as cheap as $5.

The easiest way to fix all the problems is to take 3 bulbs from the original tail lights. Then just splice them into the new wiring harness. Then make a Plexiglas case so the bulbs float in air. Then just put the box into the spare tire well and cover it up with the lexus floor mat. Use removable spade adapters so that you can disconnect the bulbs incase you need to remove the tail lights and your done.
