couple of questions
From what a couple of friends told me it would be cheaper to build a na-t than doing a swap with another engine. I have a 2jzge with 120,000 miles. I just wanna get to about 300-330 whp. I also wanna keep it automatic. Would it be easier and cheaper to build a na-t then swaping for a 1jzgte automatic

It would be cheaper to go NA-t with the 2J but keep in mind engine management will be a big roll in how long your motor is going to last. If it where me I would get a GTE head and all the accessory's and gte head gasket, ecu harness from a JDM aristo and go to town but that is what I would do. It's just easy for me because I've down swaps like that before along with 1J swaps.

Depends on what your budget is.....it is much easier IMO to just swap a 1jzgte or 2jzgte......
If NA-T is done right it came just as good as a 1jzgte or 2jzgte swap....
Either way do no cheap out on the vital parts....buy quality parts....ie. turbo, wastegate, bov....etc
Plenty of people including myself are running a cheapo turbo manifolds and intercoolers...
