Default Disaster with the turn signals

On Thusday, when I was driving home, I am waiting at a light to turn left. All of a sudden, my turn signal stops working. It has not worked since.

My headlights work. My highbeams work. The brake lights work. The reverse lights work. Every light works but the turn signal.

From my investigation, there is some mild corrosion on the driver's tail harness.

Could corrosion in one tail harness cause the blinker to stop working completely? How do I most effectively get rid of this corrosion?

Is there a fuse for the blinkers?

Just to clarify: I get no hyperblink. I get absolutely nothing. No blinker at all.

Any ideas? Any help?

Hey Mark, sounds like a weird and random occurrence. So neither of the turn signals work? What about when you press the emergency lights button? Has it been raining or anything?

weird? yes
random? yes

Neither of the turn signals work.
The emergency light button does nothing.

The driver's tail harness did take on water during a tail light surgery. I thought nothing of it at the time. Now, there is corrosion.

Funny thing: the reverse bulb and brake bulb(s) housings are significantly more corroded than the turn signal light. Again, they work fine.

not sure if the corrosion will stop the lights, but I changed the corroded ones out with some sockets from a camary from the junkyard. the correded sockets made my brake light come on in my dash.

Blizzy, yes there is a fuse just for the turn signals. If you blew this fuse, you'll get no turn signals BUT you should still get hazards. So it's unlikely that you blew this fuse. FYI, the fuse for the turn signals is in the driver's side kick panel and it's a yellow 15A.

I may have a extra flasher around, but the dealership said they have never sold one before. If I find it I will put it in the mail for you.

Update:

Went to the fuse box under the hood. 15A fuse for "Horn/Haz" was blown. I replaced the fuse. Hazards (and horn, consequently) work perfectly.

Went to the fuse box by the brake pedal. 7.5A fuse for "Turn" was blown. I replaced the fuse. Blinkers are working perfectly.

I have no idea what the hell caused the fuses to go, but they did. I have cleaned away the corrosion on the tail harness with a toothbrush and some household cleaner.

The car is back to 100% thanks in large part to the assistance you all offered. I appreciate it.

Strange that all your fuses blew, perhaps caused by the corrosion or maybe some water touched the circuit and shorted it, causing the fuses to trip. Glad everything worked out well though, could have been a lot worse
