Disaster with the turn signals

corrosion would increase resistance but not completely kill both sides. It would possibly dim the light. you can use sand paper to sand the socket and spray the socket with silicon grease.
I was rewiring my stereo and had to unplung the interior hazard button, it disable both blinkers. You may need a new hazard button.
