12k flat would be a good deal, albeit the car is in good condition

I agree, especially if it's had its timing belt replaced.

Other than the 90k service being done, so far you've only mentioned superfluous things - wheels, system, etc. Does the owner have the service records? Have you had it inspected by a trusted mechanic to see if there are any hidden or upcoming items that will cost you money if you should obtain possession of this vehicle? Carfax really doesn't mean much. What is the general overall condition as viewed by you, or someone you trust? Have you taken it on a test drive yet? If so, what did you experience before, during and after? If not, why not? Without these pertinent items, it's really not possible to say if you are paying too much.

Depends where you live but I got my 93 sc300 three yeas ago with 111k miles on it for I think 11k.... Clean record and no accidents till a month ago when some A hole did a hit and run... now my paint color doesn't match on my rear fender and bumper and it's back to the shop to raise hell.

I would go for it but I've heard of them going for half that price...

I paid 15k for my 98 Sc400 with 68k miles. I also bought it at a dealership if that matters.

There were a few problems that cost me 1000 to eliminate. In all I love the car.

Quick Reply: Is $12,500 a good price for a '98 SC400 with 100k miles?
