Thanks a lot for all the help I thought I wouldn't be able to fit the tucked rim look with how aggressive the wheel was without getting fender flares or something like that

Question adapter to 5x120 issues w/ stock suspension

Hey everyone...

stock everything on a 98 SC400.. was looking to acquire a set of 99 BMW 540i 20-spokes. One of my OEM wheels had to be recycled due to corrosion from Slime that was injected into the tire & the previous owner neglected to inform me about it. Anyway...

if my suspension is all stock... are there usually any problems with using an adapter to the 5x120 pattern of the BMW wheels?

I would love to just get a new wheel to match my OEM look, but Im on Oahu and finding a OEM 16" twisted 7-spoke chrome is not happening!

18x9.5 +12 F with 225/40/18 and 18x10.5 +0 R with 245/40/18. Too aggressive? Because I'm about to pull the trigger.

Will fit no problem with a roll. I'm running more aggressive specs but on 19s.

Lol easy, specs are a little weak for the SC, so you will have no problem tucking. If you are tucking, you don't really need to stretch tires.

19x9.5 19x11 +19 in this pic, new wheels shipping in a few more weeks with more aggressive specs. Kinda old pic, running double digit negative offset up front right now with only a roll.

Well based on your wheel specs, the ones I'm buying are more aggressive and you say they will fit with ease with just a roll... Yet your rear fenders are clearly pulled and you're on air?

Like I said, old pics. Running negative offset 19x11s now. Yes I am on air, doesn't change anything. I can air up and do "static" fitment.

If you really want to get all technical with my old SSRs, your rear will be 12.7mm more aggressive. My rears are pulled because I wanted to tuck.

This is before the pull, yeah sits on the lip, so just run camber and you should be fine, or a pull if you don't want to rub. If you are too scared of rubbing, get less aggressive specs. Keep in mind this was before I got an alignment, this was all natural camber from airing out, sooo just pull a little bit, it is not too hard, I did mine with a friend (since I have my own roller) and just take your time or pay someone to do it.

I would say go 18s if you want to be static, 19s if you are bagged. 19s will make you sit really high off the ground. If you really want to tuck, you will need to max your rear camber with those specs also roll completely flat (you don't want the lip to hit the inside of the fender) I have had that happen. Maybe a 5mm pull will do to make those specs tuck. But I still suggest going 18s.

Thanks for all the kind words really appreciate it. I was actually worried about that same reason you posted about with being static and running 19s.

Anybody have Mazda Millenia chrome rims on their SC?

I have a '98 SC400, and I'm looking at the 17x7 Mazda Millenia chrome rims from 1999-2002. They have a 55mm offset. Have to assume I can replace the Mazda caps with blanks.

Was hoping to get Supra TT MKIV wheels, but can't seem to find them cheap. These look good, although I wish it didn't have the ridge on the spokes. I'd really appreciate any thoughts, thanks.

You will need a roll and a pull in the rear to get that to fit.

Guys I need some quick help, I'm about to buy some used 2007 IS250 17" OEM wheels. I believe they are 45 offset, and 8" wide. Will these rub anything on stock SC400 set up?
