well the wheels that i purchased are 18x10 front and 18x11 rear.. i am already stretching tires on them with 245 on the 10s and 275s on the 11s.. i would go with a smaller sized tire but i dont want the stretch to be to crazy.. i already purchased the tires anyway

i read somewhere that i can setup camber more negatively with a camber kit.. 2 degrees either way. do you think i should get it? how big of a difference would 2 degrees make?

Like I said, not the rear. The front I would just use camber plates. They are probably the same price as whatever the "camber kit" is. and will aloow for more adjustability.

Default 16" recommendations?

Anyone have any tire size recommendations for 16" rims? Seems everything in this "official guide" is for 18"+.

I have 16" wheels, and need new tires... but I can't justifiy buying new wheels at this time. My wheels are off a 99 SC, and I think they're great.

My car isn't lowered, but I may lower it 1"-1.5" next spring.

Seperate Winter VS Summer setup reocmmendations would be cool to hear too.

The stock tyre size (AFAIK applies to JDM Soarers, but should be the same for USDM SC as well) is 225/55R16 94V.

I'm very surprised to see that these links are not listed in this thread. They right-belong here... It'd be all snuggly and warm for them.

Click here for aftermarket wheel info.

Then click here for the tires you plan to fit on said wheels.

The first link is a calculator that allows one to input your stock wheel width and offset, as well as your new wheel width and offset. It will tell you how far the new wheel will extend toward the fender, as well as how much closer it will be to the strut.

The second link is a calculator that allows one to input your stock/current tire size, and then allows you to input your new tire size. It gives a diagram, on the fly, of what your new wheel will look like (proportionately) to the old one. It tells you many other things as well.

(Someone may want to copy this and stick it into the very first post in this thread... It only makes sense, after all).

Comment On Ride: Stiff ride, more like the car should be. Good adjustability for street and track driving. Rims are super light and actually made the steering alot more responsive than my previous setup, Supra TT wheels.

Fender Modifications: Rolled fenders all round. Hand pulled front fenders and professionally pulled rear fenders.

Any other comments: Look is absolutly aggressive as it gets. Clears supra brakes by a mile. The lip is just enough. Fronts will bottom out if diving into a corner, can be fixed by adjusting the height at expense of a dropped look. I feel they are perfect looking on the car. Did require alot of work to make them fit, but well worth it.

i have that exact same wheel fitment sitting at my office.....it was for a 350Z but the Japanese office sent regular TE37's instead of the polished lip version. I never thought about fitting it on SC...and they are Top Secret Gold....hmmmmm

How far did you pull the front fenders? 22 is damn aggressive...i was planning on a 18x10 24 up front with +25 wide fenders. I think if you ran a little bit of neg. camber up front it might solve your rubbing issues up front. This is really interesting...
