most likely you will mess up your paint and wont be able to hit all the edges with the buffer

Looks very nice and clean. Very good write up.Imma probably use the same steps in taking out the emblems. I have also a white SC but Im planning to paint the emblems black instead. Just have to find a good paint where it wont look all ugly 6 months later.

I was wondering what did you used to buff it out? I hated the 95 GS I just got recently. I removed the gold Lexus emblem and switch with the chrome already, but still need the front Logo, rear Logo, and the Touring emblem. This is a lot cheaper and since finding the Touring emblem is way too difficult on Ebay.

i started removing the gold with the cotton material that comes in the silver can that smells strong. the gold comes off pretty easily with some rubbing. i just need to have it buffed to a polished chrome shine.
should i just go to carwash place to have them use their buffer to do it for me. i dont own a small buffer tool.
if i get all the gold off, will a normal buffer get it polished. or does it need some type of cream to use while buffing it to polish
