I cleaned my 92sc's emblems but I used nylon fishing line instead of the razor blade to avoid any scratches.

What kind of polish are you using?

Try WD40 or bug and tar remover.

They sell a citrus remover usually called goo gone... best stuff and it doesn't do any damage to the paint...

Has anyone gone the opposite direction and tried to re-gold their faded-to-"chrome" emblems? I imagine the same process could be followed for removal and reinstallation, and then spray them with some generic gold paint.
