great write up, very helpful on where the 10mm screws are located! has anyone ever removed the headlight with the intercooler piping in the way though?

well i took off my headlight to try to scrape of the burnt area of the little parking light bulb. by accident i pushed to hard and the plastic tube popped off insie and there is no way to get it out now.
so i have no choice but to pop it in te oven to open er up to remove the lastic tube.
i will decide if i scrape away the burnt plastic on its inside or just remove the tube completly and just close of that area.
the piece with the bulb that is long, i will just saw it down and use the base to seal it off.

i figured if you reheat it, than you can squeeze them back together using the original adhesive, but i guess the silicone is just a precaution. so i will line the entire rim with silicone just incase etc

i just hope it seals ok and no fogging get in there.

just opened mine up. i suggest the 300 degrees. it works fine and is easier to pry apart.
also, i beleive there are 3 little screws on the 1997 year design that need to come out first. one near each side and one kind of hidden in the center near the edge.
the clips were a little issue getting back on, but i eventually got them.
i squeezed the unit back together and siliconed the best i could. i hope they dont fog up or condensate. if they do, oh well, ill just get new headlights at te junkyard

All you need now are some HIDs. They would look awesome in those projectors.

No offense, I think that looks brutal...just my opinion. I definitely commend you the work and the write up. These types of threads are all about the spirit of modifying.
