Default door lock actuator

any one know where the door lock actuator/s are for the SC300/400?

my driver side door doesn't lock with the power locks (have to do it manually with my hand). i pulled the door panels off and inspected the locks and cable which looked fine.

any cure or fix to this problem? the passenger works perfectly fine.

thanks

part of the locking mechanism, meaning it's in the door somewhere? or? do you know exactly where it is?

Just trace the wires, and you'll find it.

my passenger side lock doesn't lock all the way. when i press the lock button the lock switch moves a little but not all the way. what exactly is the problem there? it locks fine manually just not with the button.

try looking at the clip on the door handle and make sure it has enough tention, it might also be that your actuator might be slowing going out.

Trust me it's a PITA to change.

DON'T BELIEVE THAT ILLUSTRATION ABOVE!!!
IT'S MISSING INFORMATION. HERE'S "WHY" …

I did it on my passenger side, and now I have to do it on my driver side.
The window-track is in the way of the unit; so getting it in there (or taking the old one out), and onto the door, is the hard part; 'cus it's too big to fit around the track. So you have to fight that whole actuator unit into place, around a few inches of space only, WITHOUT bending the window-track.
It doesn't take long (IF you've done it before …) but you'll get pissed-off the first time. It's not a fun job.

Well I am doing this as we speak and am at a stand still, I have everything unhooked and its ready to come out but it wont budge out from behind the track on either side, only slides up and down... Are there any tricks to getting this out besides removing the window and track??

Wow, so far, that was the worst experience I've had with my car.. The hardest part was getting the far screw back into the handle while trying to get around the window track. I feel like I gave myself carpel tunnel just after tonight.

BUT, that being said, finally, my girlfriend can open her own door haha
