I think we have to get the adapter that is mentioned in several other pages
Airbag Connector 09082-00760 Part #

Check out threads by TechSC400, and Kilo they have some good info on performing the swap.

To know for sure, a picture of the back of the airbag would help. I'm thinking it would, but if there are 2 plugs on the back of the airbag, then you're SOL...

momo competition

matches my recaro interior =P

handbrake cover has since been removed, some interior panels need to be removed and resprayed also, will get around to it eventually. most of the panels have the recaro 'dark camo' trim on them, so looks pretty sweet.

Are you piecing one together or buying whole? I've already got a 3-spoke Toyota/Lexus steering wheel but need the airbag to complete it and put it on my car, just wondering where the best/cheapest place to pick one up would be.

I'd prefer the IS300 to keep the L but would rock a Celica/Matrix/whatever airbag as well.

IF you're going to go through the trouble of swapping steering wheels......DON'T GET WOOD GRAIN UNLESS YOU CAN MAKE IT MATCH YOUR WOOD GRAIN TRIM!!!!!!

It does not flow IMO. A great looking wheel will make the interior look worse overall if the wood grain on the wheel doesn't match the wood grain trim in the interior.

how bout some of us Weekend Drivers that go to local tracks and want a nice momo wheel. How can this be accomplished. Ive had a 400 hp talon with a momo corse and it sure made the ride so much more appealing on summit point. For us that dont need the airbag--- what needs to be done??
