How many people have non working factory keyless entry?

lol, get this one.
i bought my car used a couple of weeks back and its a 95 sc300.
my buttons dont work on it but the red light flashes.
after trying to program it several times i realized this isnt the key for a 95.
am i wrong in assuming the 3 button keys are 98 and up.
the key part works on all doors, trunk and ignition.
did some idiot buy the complete wrong key and then get it cut for the car?
second question, anyone ever get the 98+ remote to work on a 97- car?

is this a 95 sc300 remote??
ok, first know i did search but did not find any definite answers.
I need the help of all 95 sc300 owners with working key remotes
to tell me if this is what their key's look like.
there is a little light that flashes when i push the buttons, however i get no sound on my radio or silence at all when i push the button. when i try to program it seems like the car does not detect it at all. basically is this even the right key remote for my car, cause my key case is cracked and its the only one i was given when i bought the car (remote has never worked). i am sure the blade is the master key though.
after looking on ebay it says this is replacement for 98-200 sc.
also i have one of those aftermarket antennas on there.
i need my remote to work pleeaaaaaase

yeah sorry about that, i will wait it out here.
i like my key a-lot so i am gonna attempt an ecu swap if i dont have the right key for my ecu.
i am gonna try and figure out the wiring so any help would be appreciated.
sc300gte, your gonna have to be more specific than my keyless does not work

dont know if it has already been asked but do Soarers come with it? I only got one key and it doesn't have keyless buttons.

after researching i decided aftermarket is the way to go. you can wire it in easily to your door locks and hell, you can even get remote start functionality at the same time for like 200 bucks installed at your local bestbuy or whatnot, including alarm

my keyless just stop working
i have a 1998 sc400 i had to remove a door assmbly part from my driver side door and all of a sudden my keyless entry wont work, my truck entry was the last to go also. i havent yet replace the door assymbly because i cant fine a cheap one now i have to open the door from the passenger side and unlock the door from the inside.
