so uh.. vote in poll and explain if you feel you need to. Im realyl thinking of getting a lower mileage (less than or around 100k, preferably closer to 70/80k)SC400 or maybe 1jzgte/2jzgte SC300 and I'd like to know your feelings about the general reliability of using a car thats as old enough to remember some guy named clinton.

I drive my SC to work and meetings.
If I have to haul anything around or lots of people I take the Acura MDX.
If I'm going out, screwing around, or running to to do errands I take the SRT4
This week I'm picking up a 1988 Mitsubishi Starion ESiR...I had one in college and wish I never sold it!!! This ones going in the garage and getting the total works. I can't wait!!!
None of my cars have had any problems yet, all are under 50K miles on them, so I guess I'm lucky

My SC has been bulletproof for two years: 250 miles per week round trip to work, then 350+ miles round trip on the weekend. I just recently purchased another DD just to keep the mileage down.

Knock on wood, nothing but usual upkeep. I've had a few issues that come with a car with over 100k miles, but nothing major. I've had it for almost 2 years and still love it!!!

I've had mine for roughly 3 weeks now. It's my favorite car I've ever owned, and I've owned 4 in my life. Not too shabby for being 22. Haven't had any problems to report.

I've had my 93 SC300 as my daily driver for 4 1/2 years now. She's been fairly reliable. When i bought her there were 78K miles on the odo. Now im at 196K. Aside from recent ECU and transmission code issues. The car looks and drives better now than when i bought it.
Most of my down time has come from suspension and brake issues . Ive spent quite a bit of $ in those areas , and still have not been happy with em.
I really am trying to figure a way to fit a beater into my budget though, so i can retire the SC as a daily driver. So she can be a garage queen.
Sadly, I am starting to see that as a result of modifications, the car requires alot more upkeep and babying . Wich i know will be getting worse soon. Due to my FI plans .

I've owned two Soarers and I learnt my lesson from my first... keep up with maintenance before it bites you in the ***
I've still got two cars but my other car (supposed to be my daily driver) needs a bit of attention to get back on the road so the Soarer has gone back to being my daily.

I'm somewhere between options 1 and 2, but leaning towards 2. Brake fade has become a major problem lately. I have about 40% left on my pads, and they still don't grip very well. Gone through an alternator, and a couple other things, but not horrible. My Legend was far worse.
