Memory Lane: Steven Craig Reed (CmputerWiz)
I thought with the vast number of new members the SC3/4 forum has attracted in the past two years I'd post up a little tribute to one of the SC's OGs...
for those of you who were not around, he had the single-most unique SC around.
His SC had a toyomoto NA-T kit (that was around $10,000 w/ a FMIC and HG, IIRC). Steven opted for stock compression and a toyota supra side-mount intercooler.
Some of Steve's partners in crime were SC300TURBO (who you'll occasionally still see around) SC300T (Scott, who had his SC300 w/ a toyomoto kit pass emissions in Ohio without the EGR system if memory serves )
And last, but not least SC300tt -- Clint Pohler, now working for Tuning Dynamics with Justin Nenni (a longtime MKIV Supra tuner)
Clint's black 93 SC300 is one we've proably all seen in various videos making 800 rwhp and playing around with vipers and RX7s on the highways down in texas.
Apart from Clint, all of the other guys used toyomoto kits, aside from F-max, toyomoto was really the only big game in town for NA-T. Clint's SC was done by powerhouse racing (I believe his website about his 93 is still up, somewhere)
But back to Steven Reed: He sold his SC and went through a number of different cars including a NSX. He died May 22nd 2004...
If these cliff notes sparked anyone's interest, I'd suggest you go back and read through some of SC300tt, CmputerWiz and SC300Turbo's old posts.
That's it for this stroll down memory lane... all your OG guys other there, start posting up

RIP Steve. Something many don't know... he came to the aid of CL and technically restored / fixed our forums during a period of problems several years ago. He also contributed as one of the SC moderators for a long period of time.

i remember staying up all night reading all his posts on the whole f-max toyomoto battle back in the day. unfortunately, i never got the chance to meet him as i moved to florida in late 2004. from what i hear from the local guys, he was one of the coolest people arround. always sad to see bad things happen to good people. RIP.
lets not forget our brother movingviolation. paul was also a florida SC owner... actually the first person i called a friend when i moved down here. lost his life in a plane crash last year. i believe his car now belongs to his brother up north. RIP.

I'm new to Lexus so I didn't know him or hear about his passing away, but it's good to see you guys remembering him for the great person he was. Sounds like he made a great impression during his time here. Rest in Peace.
