Those tails look FANTASTIC! I believe you are the first one to do this mod but there were others who have taken apart 97 tails and inserted LED panels.

Would you be interested in working up another set?

Yeah they are definetly legal. The illegal ones would be like the Altezza type lights with very little to no red you see mostly on Hondas.

very nice!! you're the 2nd or 3rd person to modify the 97+ tails...My CleanSC brother in Florida modified the 97+ tails, painted the orange...red and also added LED's. The other person I can't remember...

But you are the first to paint the orange to red and also smoke the backup lens to smoke.

Clean!

Looks perfect especially on a black SC... yum! Set off with a set of LEDs for the brake lights and blinkers, I reckon that'd be the best combo with these tails.

As long as there is a red reflector on both sides of the rear the car your taillights can be crystal clear just look at the newer lexus RXs they have red reflectors on the rear bumpers

Yep, that was me. About a year ago I did the all-red mod as the orange sucks, and went full LED conversion as well. I never bothered with the reverse lights as they never really bothered me but yours look damn hot. Nice touch on that one.

FINALLY some more inventors on the board.

Keep 'em coming, great work!

Great work on those tails They really look clean on a black car. What temp did you use in the oven to heat them up enough to separate? Also, how long in the oven?

There are several thread that go over this. you might wanna search as to avoid hijacking this thread.

BTW: just move the back panel and unscrew the light.
