I had a spare clip in the car, because the last time it broke I bought one...went out to lunch with a co worker and guess what...came out again...
so this is the 3rd time mine has broken...first time took me an hour to fix, 2nd time 30 minutes, today during lunch fixed it in 15 minutes....coworkers standing around like...what are you doing??? haha

its wierd i can hear the linkage moving and my power lock still works, but it wont open from either side! any ideas would be appreciated.... i thought about hacking my door panel but id rather not, thats my last option.

Usually if you can't open from either side you got to cut through your door panel with an air saw. ( I know ouch).. But before you resort to that try messing around with your window (raising and lowering), while trying to open the door. That's what I did and I managed to open the door from the inside. Then I kept it open and replaced the clip. Hopefully that'll work out for you, if not I'm sorry. Good luck

What if the windows are up?
Great info and can't wait to use the advice.... but what do you do if you encounter the problem while the windows and roof are closed.... not to mention the only functional (?) handle is the interior driver handle????--It's 94 SC300.
Any feasible suggestions aside from replacing glass or body repair?
