SC400 headlight/fog light questions
hello, im new to this forum.
i just got a canadian 1992 sc400.
my fog lights dont turn on and the car didnt come with a manual, so how do i turn them on? if its the bulbs, i have replacements and will replace them tomorrow.
also, my headlights have a some sort of "feature" where basically they are always on whenever the car is on. once i start the car and put it in drive or somethin, the headlights are on automatically. are all SCs like that?

For the SC 400/300 models from 1992-1993 doesnt come with frog lights and they are turning lights...
They only come on when you indicate left or right when the headlights are on..

Like it was mentioned above, you don't have fog lights. They are cornering lights and as such they only come one when your headlights are on and you are signaling for a turn. Now for your headlights, if they are on the "auto" setting, they will turn on whenever it is dark. However, if it is your highbeams that are on all the time, they are daytime running lights. I know the Canadian models had DRLs much earlier than the US models, though I don't know if it was that early.

In addition, you do have the option of turning those lights into fogs if you wanted to.

The SC400's "made for Canada" have the day time running lights. The lights that come on are probably not your headlights though but rather are the high beam lights. They should be automatically turning off when you turn on the headlights.

two 2ft sections of wire, and a few blue clip wire splicers, will turn your cornering lights into "fog" lights that turn on with the parking lights. Takes about 15mins.
