ProperSC - it took me a total of 3.5 hours to pull the car in the driveway, remove both lamps, heat up the oven, open them up, refinish everything, seal them up, then re-install them. Make sure you have an empty weekend afternoon available.

Great write-up, might have to try and give this a shot this weekend. Another question but a bit off topic, but has anyone tried to de-line the lens? Any success stories, or horror stories?? Wondering if its worth the risk

You have to let that cure for 24 hrs before really being exposed to water...i did mine. Put it in a bucket of water and no leaks. You probably didnt spread it in the right areas. Any pics of what you did?

I just finished the drivers side (that's the one that was leaking). The often trick worked great took 4 minutes at 300 degrees and the same to reassemble. Had to paint the plastic bezel with chrome paint. Looks great and what a difference in the brightness. Pics to follow along with the rims that were really bad. Thanks onw

My headlights are clean and clear, but there's something inside (like a tiny piece of dirt or something) that's reflecting the light on my Left headlight in a wierd direction (the majority of the light shines where it's supposed to, but there's a large piece that shines up and to the Left).
How do you guys suggest I fix/clean this? I don't want to pull my otherwise perfect headlights apart and risk ruining them, or not being able to properly seal them. I was almost thinking about removing the headlight, rinsing the inside with soapy water or even CLR. Would that work?

I wouldn't pour CLR into the lights. If the debris is loose then flush the headlight out with distilled water. Soap and water might leave a residue behind inside of your lights.

If the debris you're trying to get rid of is fixed and needs to be agitated to be removed then your only option is to open the lights up.

Good lord this DIY was a pain in the ****. I probably spent 45 minutes just battling those stupid clips after resealing the housing. Note to the rest...spend more time removing the original adhesive, haha. But, the results speak for themselves. Thanks for the writeup!
