I'm in the midst of my dying project now too So far...so good - time consuming for sure, but I'm liking what I see so far!

I'm using several light coats to get a nice dark black - dunno - maybe also because I'm going from grey to black.

I've decided just to buy new or find some parts out of a black int car, i.e. the plastic panel for the door locks / pwr windows & the associated buttons

bigmalik00: O hell Yeah, I love doing this Stuff. Have you started yet? Wish you lived closer, I would be there right now.

jstyles129: As for the Carpet I have mines out right now and am researching ways to Dye it. I dont think you can use The Sem's on the Carpet. I'll figure something out and Post up the info I find.

If all goes well I'll just have you guys take out your carpet and send it to me, I'll dye it and send it back. And im talking about a Professional Dye Job, no rattle Can Job., to were it still feels like carpet.

I was also going to ask about the carpet.

Ritz Dye will work, but how do you get it on there? I was thinking about getting a spray bottle and working a few sections at a time. spray and wipe around

I dont know!

Pour water and dye into kids paddling pool. Submerge carpet for several days.

Why didn't I think of that. It's like 40 degrees out. Should be fun.

I know this is an old thread but I though it was worth bringing up to the top again as I've seen a lot of threads lately on interior dying and this is by far the most comprehensive thread I've seen on the subject! About to tackle some of this myself.
