Thanks for bringing this post up, didn't know it existed. I've got the 95-96 look going on except my fogs are still cornering lamps. Plan to attack this project soon!

I think OLT copied and pasted this old thread and subject write off of www.intellexiual.net. Did you?

Just kidding. It looks like the same wirte up as I used when I did mine, and then everyone gave me crap about on here about doing the mod. Due to them not OFFICIALLY being fog lights, but simply being turn signal indicators.

Be aware, if you do this mod, DO NOT use anything brighter than a 27 watt 1156 style bulb, in this factory housing. It will melt the housing! I put in a 55watt, and it lasted about a month or so. I noticed the color inside the housing was started to turn a little brown. So be aware! I know from experience. If you use an LED, I am unaware of the brightest you can use. You may experience something different. JMO.

This is nice. But what about beam direction?. You may do the convertion but these lights won't aim straight still, this won't happen on 95+ fogs. Perhaps this is why some prefer to retrofit.

Hello O.L.T.
Old post but pretty sure some people are still doing or planning on doing this conversion like myself.

Been doing some searches, planning things out, getting needed things, and today had an idea and I thought I would draw it up real quick and post it to see if this is possible and if it would work. So what do you think or what does anyone else thinks about this working? And what amp fuse should I use?

Paint pic is just to sum it up a bit
And other pic is how I will be wiring it(its only taped for pic purpose) red tip to low-beam power, black tip to ground on frame.

Splicing into the positive wires from each side of the low beams to the power wire of the male adapter into the H3 housing, and grounding the male adapter's ground cable.

I am not sure who did the conversion for rich and gave him the info, but it was surely before 2003 so if someone else does it, add to this thread and email rich for the update so he can add it into the faq. Just be sure to host your images in the cl gallery as rich's FAQ is for permanent info.
