I have a set of 17" Fitipaldi Interlagas rims.... We hit a a pot hole hard and bent the rim. I wanted to get either a new wheel or get it it repaired.... So I called around to check for rims straighten prices... Quoted from $100 - 125.00 to repair, plus another $40 - 50.00 bucks for shipping. back to Jackson..... I'll be driving back to Dallas in a few days and finding a local repair shop, to save the shipping......
I decided to check around for a replacement wheel, assuming another $200.00 plus bucks, I called Discount Tire, where the wheel was purchased(a few years ago for my 300ZX originally)...
Then I was hit with a BOMB...........Fitipaldi is out of business!!!
The salesman said that they sold a lot of Fiti wheels, but Fitipaldi business was failing from other issues...
Well, I guess I have to send the wheel off to get repaired.... Does anyone have any shop recommendations and $$$ for repairs... Preferably in the Dallas, TX... Shreveport, LA.... area, but any info will help.....
TIA,
Thomas

Ikon,
Believe it or not, OZ Racing makes alot of wheels for Fittipaldi. You might try OZ to see if they can locate some new Fitti Interlagas for you. Or, they can refer you to some dealers who might still carry the remaining batch of them. That's why if the deal is good enough (less/equal to repair costs) , I always buy a fifth wheel.
Good luck.

Try www.fixrim.com. They are the best, they have shops in Houston and San Antonio, I'm not sure about Dallas.

Also, ask them for the ClubLexus discount. I set it up last year with the manager, Curtis Hanson, in their SF Bay Area store. It's like $10 off a $110 repair. They may not know about it in TX, but have them call CA.

Ikon,
While it is true that Fitipaldi is out of businss, but I think Discount Tire do sell an exact wheel made by an another company (Voxx). Check out their web site, hopefully they have the same style as the one that you have.
