$500 for a window regulator???

$500 for a window regulator???
Am I missing something? This parts site wants nearly $500 for an SC300 window regulator. I thought that part was supposed to be significantly cheaper than that. It's just a motor with cabling on it for Pete's sake. It's not solid gold or anything.

Well good grief. I think I can get my local shop to do the whole job for only slightly more than that. After reading various threads about repair (including O.L.T.'s clever JB Weld thing), I may just pay someone else to fix it. It looks like a big pain in the *** to me.

my passenger side window is just lowering/closing alot slower than my driverside..
is it perception? or electronics?
doesn't look like that part snapping has to do with the speed of the window..

it is NOT $500. if you spend that much you've been had.
i got the entire assembly from my local lexus dealership for $100. i mean, if you really want to spend $500, PM me and we'll talk.

I just replaced mine.... One Lexus dealership told me over 500 but THEY wanted to replace the motor as well because they said it comes together with the regulator 
Called another lexus dealer he quoted me a better price to fix just the regulator and their parts dep. said the regulator and motor DO NOT come together.
