Tach reading high
I'm usually pretty good at finding this stuff, but can't find an answer yet.
My tach is reading about 1000-1200 high across the board. For example, I idle at around 1200, the tach is reading 2200.
Aristo GTE swap with AEM V1
Any ideas? I'm about to have to get a separate mounted tach.
I've jumped that relay already.

you mean you jumperd the resisitor, hopefully the right one.
sometimes when you mess with the cluster the needle will actually physically move around and need to be recalibrated, if it seems to go from 2200-8000 instead of 1200-7000 then you know its just off on the needle.
not sure how to recalibrate it but there is a thread on it, I think you can tell by where the needle sits when the cluster is off, if it sits higher than normal then that is the problem.

It's possible something was damaged if you jumped the wrong thing. Is it the original cluster?
We can help figure it out either way you go.

I jumped the r109 resistor.
Before I jumped it, the gauge wouldn't move at all.
It's moving now, but like I said, its about 1000 or so off.
I'll check it and see if it's resting high to begin with
Thanks

probably it when I take the cluster out I am like in permanant slow motion until I rest it down on something so as not to shock it around so much that i need to recalibrate anything. I learned the hard way the more times you touch the needles the less they tend to like to do their job properly, and moving them around throws off the calibration quite easily.
I gotta hand it to these guys on here who repair these clusters or work on them for others, its nerve wrecking to get it just right, sometimes close is all you can hope for, well at least for me anyways.
