Well, half an amp isn't as bad as it sounds. the stock bulbs total are 6 bulbs at 1/4 amp each i think, so... no problemo.

Depends on your setup.

The actual tubes run certain wattages and brightnesses. The power supply may or may not have power settings (mine has three). If you run more tubes on the supply, you get less brightness.

If all else fails, put some tint on the screen.

I have 12" CC tubes all over the place. Not sure what I could do with that length. Would be cool for door sills or something.

How often have you driven your SC Jose? The transformer and cathodes don't usually get a long life in this auto environment.

Yup, but I tell the ladies it's a 9".

Brian, I take her out about 3 times a week. Always with the lights on so the hardware gets a workout. So at least 6 to 8 on-off cycles a week since I got a daily driver 2 years ago.

They got abused every single day for three more years prior to the DD.
