Default 96 front bumper cover to a 92

What does it take to put a 96 model bumper cover with fog lights on a 92 model? Does it bolt straight up? Is the wiring the same or does it have to be modded? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Lewis

96 and 92 front ends look the same.

If you are talking about the 97+ conversion here is a thread that will anwser all your questions.

I have a 92. This is the classified I was looking at. Is there no difference? I thought the grill was slightly different and what about the fog lights?

Your right, there is a difference between 92-94 and 95-96, subtle but different

Help guys...

If I put on a 95 or 96 bumper cover on my 92, what would I have to do to get the fog lights working. I understand it has fog lights instead of the directional turn lights or whatever they are. I just want to make sure this is doable.

The bumper cover I'm going to buy

You can't use a 92-94 cornering light assembly with a 95-96 bumper. They are slightly different shapes and the driver side assembly is blocked by some sort of metal conduit. So if you want to use foglights/cornering lights with a 95-96 bumper, you have to buy 95-96 foglights.

lex400sc speaketh!

Out of curisoity, why would you bother updating to 96 when you could bump it up one more year and look much sweeter(IMO)?

Well...my bottom lip is busted in two. Mrjohntan has a black 95 that I was going to buy with fog lights already in it. Now he's not going to ship it I think. BTW, if I bought a 95 with no lights, will my cornering lights fit in it? What does it take to put a 97 on one?

I dont know why, but for some reason i prefer the 95-96 front bumper cover than 97+. besides that i want everything grom 97+. That would be the best combination for me. 96 front bumper with oem lip or wise. And the rest all 97+.

I dont like those big round foglights. It reminds me to the hella that comes on the lancer evo 4.
