Let me answer some questions now..

Does the panel fit perfectly ?
No ... it WOULD HAVE, except I am probably the first to figure this out ... the depth of the glove box isn't quite enough to put a headunit into, so the panel had to come out about 1/8" therefore leaving a little gap above it all the way across. It is an easy fix, however, because I left extra carpet on and my plan is to pull out the glove box and then take the extra carpet from the top and just wrap it behind, then you won't see the gap one bit ... kinda hard to describe, but when I do it, I will post more pics.

Did I write down the length & heighth ?
No ... but I wouldn't use the same piece if I did it again because of the problem I just discussed in the first question.

Where did I get the carpet ?
Good question. lol. You guys know that carpeted thing in the trunk that covers the spare wheel ? Well, I had no use for that anymore because there is no spare wheel...so ....

How do I change the radio controls ?
I rarely listen to the radio, I listen to CDs. I purchased this because it is an MP3 player and because it is compatible with Alpine's 6 Disk MP3 Changer ... at about 200-300 songs per CD, that means I will have about 2,000 songs in .. put it on random and that will be that. And yes, it has a remote.

Glad you guys like it

That glove box setup does look good (Angel's). Awesome job maintaining 100% stock appearance.

I don't have any guages because I don't need them. This display connects to the rs232 port of the AEM: http://spooling.netfirms.com/gt/main/guage_tech.htm

It's the best investment I made on my project car. Peak and hold function, warning indications, mini dyno all for a fraction of the price of analog guages.

Looks nice, like a Tech Tom, but where did you put it Scott? Looks pretty large - is that a 1 DIN (sized) face?

PS.... Dawg is up and fully functional. #5 is still a little low ... it got up to (70/80), but there are now noticeable effects...

The outer case can be removed, and it will fit perfectly in the dash where the radio is.(which I'm getting rid of anyway).

Glad to hear you're back up and running.

At $375, thats a hell of a deal! My only concern on that was the actual size of the characters on the display and being able to read them.
Scott, how is the visibility during the day, in the sun?

Angel... my bad bro. I forgot all about sending you the link. I tried to find it right after we talked about it, but I couldn't find the #$@!#$ link.. Sorry man.

Chris, you can see it o.k. in the light, but that's not what you'd want to see anyway. Kevin has now included LEDs that light up when user defined error conditions are detected. I had one of the first displays made, and even with the early units you can program a warning condition for an over or under condition (i.e. overboost, lean AFR, high EGT, low fuel pressure, etc.). He's added an LED that now lights up when over/under conditions are reached. I'm tellin' ya this device ROCKS!

Default gages

One more time, to get the picture! Replaced the ash tray with a custom made wooden piece to hold the EGT and Turbo gages

Default Nice look Phil

You may have nailed the most oem look possible. It looks like they belong there. Guess they are 52mm gauges? What is the correct wood match?
