Will those other nine wires allow you to use memory seats if used right?

Yo D,

I forgot to ask you before if the memory seats work. It would be awesome if I could have extra buttons to use.

the memory function for the mirrors still are functional but I don't see how I can hook up the memory functions unless you take the module out of the lexus seat and mount it on the supra seat somehow.
The supra seat does not have any wires besides the power so I don't think in it's stock state you can hook up memory seats.

sweet they look great, you have me really excited now. I just bought some 94 tt seats and they along with my back seats are getting upholstered with tan leather and tan suede inserts. The shop down here is doing all the work with materials for $800 not to bad, I think for custom work.

In middle Dec my 6spd tt swap will be here and I agree about sliding all over the sc seats. They were more suited for the grampa's I guess With more power I wanted a more hugging seat , but did not want a ricer race seat. As I am past that stage!!!!! The sc seats will make good movie room seats, lazyboy ext...hehehe

When I get them in my car I will post pics!!!

btw they look great!!!!!!

what are you trying to say? please clarify.

My reasons for doing them.
1. Much lighter
2. holds you in the seats better
3. I've had them for about 1500miles or so and the 97 supra seats fell more comfortible than the SC400 seats.
4. The leather on my 92 SC400 driver side leather was starting to fall apart.
Sorry, I didn't explain myself.

There are two generations of Supra seats. Some people complain that the newer ('97+ I think) are less comftable than the older ones. So they end up either getting something aftermarket or get seats from the older Supras.

I know why you would got the Supra seats, I didn't know why your picked '97. I think wether they're comftable or not is a matter of opinion. If you look around recent posts you'll see Supra guys saying they like the SC seats more.

Awesome mod VSsc400!! I think the supra seats are a great way to go. Unfortunately there is no "true" matching tan leather aftermarket seat, like a sparco or something, if there was I would be the first to hand over my cash. I've contemplated getting some supra seats as well.
While the sc seats are comfy, the supra seats to me are much more supportive and comfortable, but to each their own.

Actually there are some better seats available in Japan for the SC that do match the leather.

If you look in HyperRev you'll find these tan seats. I found them on this Japanese website except in black. I don't remember the name of the brand, but they are a small company who makes seats for Toyota. I have no doubt they would be perfect for the SC.

DirecEQL I was thinking about it for a little bit... and I really didn't feel the need for the 5pt harness holes... These seats are in truely outstanding condition and it just happened to be 97. the SC seats are definitely more plush, but with my big *** I squish them really thin and it's like the cushion is not even there =)

quickturbo: thanks man. I don't really keep my car clean so the dirt kinda makes eveyrthing blend in =)
the colors are actually a tad bit off. The supra seats are slightly deeper color than the SC leather.

Good job D, another cost effective, but very good mod! I think they go well with the sporty demeanor of your car!

If you start adding modules back to the seats and carrrying on, you will pick up all that weight you lost!! Good job though

DGOT20s:
I'm not adding any modules back. I am very happy with the current features.

Any clue as to how much lighter it was?

Did the seat bolt right on (disregarding wiring)?

Do you sit quite a bit lower in the car? I need my seat lowered, because when I wear a helmet I am way up close to my roll cage
